Respecting the confidentiality of personal information is a central concern for MCLAREN MONTRÉAL. Accordingly, we are committed to complying with this Privacy Policy (hereinafter "Policy") in order to guarantee a high level of protection for information collected from users of any of our services. We are also committed to implementing consistent privacy practices and to clearly communicating these practices.
This Policy applies to users (hereinafter referred to as "you") of the services offered by MCLAREN MONTRÉAL (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us") on our website, mclarenmontreal.com and in our branches.
This Policy describes the various situations in which MCLAREN MONTRÉAL collects, uses, communicates and retains users' personal information.

1.2. SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION
For the collection and use of Sensitive Personal Information, each user will be required to provide express consent or we will not be permitted to use such information. For the purposes of this Policy and as defined in section 12 al.4 (2) Loi sur la protection des renseignements personnels dans le secteur privé, personal information is sensitive "when, by its nature or because of the context of its use or communication, it gives rise to a high reasonable expectation of privacy."
You may completely refuse to provide us with one or more pieces of sensitive personal information, in which case we may not be able to provide you with certain services that require the information in question.
1.3. WITHDRAWING CONSENT
At any time, to withdraw your consent to any of the terms and conditions relating to the management of your personal information by MCLAREN MONTRÉAL, simply send an e-mail to info@mclarenmontreal.com with the word unsubscribe.
2. COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal information is collected by means of forms, whether electronic or paper. We use these forms to:

- Estimated budget for vehicle purchase in dollars per month
- Indicate vehicle ownership
- Estimated credit rating
- Interest by zero dollar down payment option
- Type of residence
- Amount of mortgage or monthly rent
- Occupancy
- Monthly income before taxes/deductions
The personal information we collect is gathered through forms and interactivity between you and our Web site. As indicated in the following section, we also use cookies and/or log files to gather information about you.
The user may choose not to provide the personal information requested. However, you may not be able to access the requested services.
2.2. CONNECTION LOGS

In addition, MCLAREN MONTRÉAL may share information that you have voluntarily provided in connection with a business transaction, including, but not limited to, a change in the legal structure of a company by way of merger, acquisition or otherwise. Any other form of disposal or lease of all or part of the company's assets, or the process of applying for a loan, security or financing by the company in question, are also commercial transactions. 4.2. COMMUNICATION TO A THIRD PARTY
We may also share with third parties certain non-personal information in aggregate form, for example, the number of users who have searched for a specific car model or clicked on a particular ad. This information is not personally identifiable.
We may also transmit personal information collected through one of our forms directly to a manufacturer's CRM or digital program manager, or to third parties. Third parties have their own privacy policies regarding the personal information we provide to them. We invite you to consult their privacy policy to learn about their privacy practices, since once you leave our website, you are subject to the policies and conditions of the third-party website. Please keep in mind that some third parties may be located outside Quebec or Canada and may therefore be subject to other laws regarding the protection of your personal information.
We may also provide personal information in response to valid legal process such as subpoenas, search warrants and court orders, or to establish or exercise our rights or defend against legal claims, or in any other circumstances permitted by law.

4.3. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM AFFILIATED WEBSITES
Some of our services are offered in conjunction with other websites. The personal information you provide to these sites may be sent to MCLAREN MONTRÉAL in order to provide the service. This information is handled in accordance with this Policy. Affiliated sites may have different privacy practices, so we recommend that you review them.
5. RETENTION AND DESTRUCTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
First and foremost, we retain personal information for as long as it is needed to provide the service requested by the user, i.e. for the purpose for which the user has consented to provide the information. If consent has been given for more than one purpose, we will retain the information until the fulfillment of the purpose that requires the longest period of time without using it for any purpose other than those for which consent was given.
We also retain such information for any period required to comply with our legal obligations.
5.1. DESTRUCTION OR ANONYMIZATION
Where personal information has been used for the purpose for which consent was given, we will anonymize or destroy the information in accordance with the statutory retention periods (23 LP).
6. SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We take all necessary security measures to prevent unauthorized access, modification, disclosure or destruction of data. These measures include internal audits of data collection, storage and processing, as well as physical and software security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access to the systems in which personal information is stored. (art. 10 LP) Personal information is encrypted at rest and always encrypted when saved.
To ensure the security of your personal data, we implement industry-standard precautionary measures to prevent the loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or improper destruction of such information.
Access to personal information is strictly limited to employees, mandataries, subcontractors and agents acting on behalf of MCLAREN MONTRÉAL who require access in order to operate, develop or improve our services. These persons are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to sanctions, up to and including dismissal and legal proceedings, in the event of breach of these obligations. (art. 20 LP) In order to control access to personal information, each person authorized to access personal information has a user name and password.
However, it is important to bear in mind that no data collection, communication or storage system can guarantee 100% security. It is therefore also your responsibility to ensure that your information is transmitted securely, in particular by notifying us if you suspect that the security of your information is at risk (see section 11 for the contact details of the Privacy Officer).
7. USERS' RIGHTS REGARDING PERSONAL INFORMATION DISCLOSED
A user may, at any time, request access to or rectification of the file containing the personal information we hold about him or her if any information is inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal. We want to obtain accurate information so that we can offer you the best possible service. Please feel free to make a request for access or rectification by contacting our Privacy Officer (see section 11). This request must be made in writing and contain proof of the identity of the user or his representative (art. 30 LP).
A user may also request more information about our use of personal information.
Any user may request that the computerized personal information we hold about him or her be communicated to him or her in an accessible and readable technological format. (art. 27 LP)
A user may also request that we delete information that we no longer deem necessary to accomplish the purposes for which it was provided and consented to, or that no longer has a legal basis for use.
As mentioned above, any user may also change his or her consent to the use of personal information.
A user may also make a complaint to our Privacy Officer (see section 11) and request that we limit the use of his or her information while the complaint is being processed.
A user also has the right to request that he or she not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing of his or her personal information Incidents relating to personal information.
If we have reason to believe that an incident affecting users' personal information has occurred, we undertake to take reasonable steps to limit the risk of harm and to be proactive in creating preventive measures.
If we determine that serious harm could result from an incident involving personal information, we will notify the Commission of access to information and any user whose personal information is affected by the incident in the manner provided by law. (art. 3.5 LP)
We also undertake to keep a register of confidentiality incidents (art. 3.8 LP).
8. LINKS TO OTHER SITES
When a user clicks on a link to an Internet site that does not belong to us, it is the user's responsibility to check the privacy policy and cookie policy applicable to the site in question. This Policy applies only to our website and we are not responsible for the content of third-party websites.
9. THIRD PARTY PRIVACY POLICIES
By interacting with YouTube videos on this website, users agree to be bound by YouTube's Terms of Use. Please also refer to Google's Privacy Policy.
10. CHANGES TO THE POLICY
Please note that this Policy is subject to change at any time. No change, even a minor one, that would diminish your rights hereunder shall be made without your express consent.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, any changes to this Policy will be posted on this page. The date of the Policy update will be indicated at the top of the page. (art. 8.2 LP)
